marshall Heading into the 2014 season, award watch lists are peppered with Auburn players. While pre-season watch lists are broad and the eventual winner may not even be on the list (take Maxwell and Davey O’Brien winner Cam Newton in 2010 for example), being recognized for their efforts in 2013 and considered a viable candidate for prestigious national awards is an accomplishment in its own right.

And finally, while not a watch list per se, wide receiver Sammie Coates was named college football’s Number One Freak by FOX Sports analyst Bruce Feldman, who annually identifies the ‘freakiest’ athletes in college football, according to Feldman “the guy in the program who can wow his coaches and teammates.”
