On March 2, the Never to Yield Foundation called on Auburn family and friends to contact the advertisers who support Auburn basher Scott Moore and the radio station, WZZN, that gives him a platform.
Three advertisers have since confirmed by phone or email that they do not or will no longer advertise on Moore’s new WZZN show.
ActionSportsArt is the latest to leave Moore’s show. In an email on Monday, March 7, ActionSportsArt said it had researched the situation and requested that WZZN cancel all advertising immediately.
According to the statement:
We have discussed our findings with the station management and have requested that ActionSportsArt ads be pulled from the show and the station at this time.
Our relationship with Auburn University and it’s fan base is important to us for many reasons. We are proud of the artwork we produce and the “All In” design capturing the teams National Championship is marketed in a joint effort with the university athletic department.
Last week Bob Baumhower’s Restaurants confirmed it does not support the show hosted by scott Moore and internet rumor monger William ‘Redfish’ Barger.
An email from Harry Long, Director of Marketing for Aloha Hospitality International, the parent company of the Baumhower’s chain of restaurants stated:
“Our company does not have any agreements/affiliations with the Scott Moore radio program.”
An executive with Redstone Federal Credit Union said by phone on Friday, March 4 that their company did not support Moore and Barger’s show and any advertising that might appear on their broadcast was done without the permission and against the wishes of the Credit Union.
“We did not authorize any ads that may have run on the show in question,” the spokesman said. “They were run without our knowledge. We contacted the station to make sure our ads were taken out of the rotation.”
He further stated that the Credit Union would not support any effort in radio or print to damage either Auburn or Alabama.
